Natural pink avocado dye sock tutorial with cocks on socks

Avocado dye tutorial

This was my first try at making a natural dye and it was super easy. Really.

Step 1

Buy some avocados

Step 2

Make Guac

Step 3

Clean the skins and stones and remove as much flesh as possible.  The riper the avo the easier this is.  If they are super hard it just won't come off.

I was a little skeptical about this process when I started, but as you can see from this stone I sliced, there's definitely some red in there!

My finished skins.

Step 4

Get a big pan, fill it with warm water, and turn on the gas.  I put mine on a low heat and planned to leave it on for 40-60 minutes. No point in rushing.

Put in your skins and stones.

After 30 minutes -  Looking more orange than pink at this stage but I am happy with the intensity.

I left the socks in for about 40 mins then left them out to dry, that's it.
